Zero Luminous Decay! Aeon Lighting Technology Inc. Bulbs Passed Energy Star U.S.A’s 6000 Hour Test Standard- (June 6, 2013, Taipei) Aeon Lighting Technology Inc. (ALT) continues to push the boundaries of what's possible with its energy star certified A55 bulb for its 360° omni-directional light beam and also the ultimate durability by passing 6,000 hrs continuous lit on test without any light decay! Once again, ALT has raised the bar for high power LED lighting with its advanced core technology.
This time ALT sent ten LED omni - directional bulb samples to the laboratory commissioned by “Energy Star U.S.A.” and kept them lit 24-hours a day, for over eight months. The test result showed that all bulbs were able to maintain normal illumination without flickering, and the average luminous decay of the light bulbs was zero! Moreover, the indicator of lumen maintenance even achieve 102% after 6,000 hours “burn on” test which mean the lumen of lamp was even higher than beginning after 6,000 hrs test. Luminous decay happens when the light has been lit for long periods of time, resulting in color fading. Many LED lamps change from white light to light green after using for a while, and this is due to poor power and thermal designs resulting in the generation of different light colors. The average consumers are not familiar with luminous decay tests, however, it is the most important ring in measuring the quality of LED bulbs; the lifespan on most products with heavy luminous decay is not as long as marked on the product label .
“Energy Star U.S.A.” is a joint energy conservation plan carried out together by the U.S. Department of Energy and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. In order to ensure that the lighting products that received subsidy payments are all high quality, have high performance and long lifespan in order to truly achieve the goal of effective energy usage, not only did “Energy Star” set a rigorous provision that the lighting products must pas s the 6000 hours continuous light test, they also stipulated that the power factor must reach a specific standard. Not only did ALT passed eight months of continuous light test without luminous decay, its power factor is even as high as 90%, truly lowering the invalid consumption of power during the transmission process and achieving the vision of saving energy and reducing carbon emissions!
ALT’s CEO Liang Chien Kuo stated that environmental protection and energy-saving industrial solutions are increasingly prevalent in all countries; however the quality of LED bulbs available on the market is still very uneven. Not only should our government vigorously promote the use of energy-saving products, it should also establish a strict polic y in order to protect consumer rights and prevent consumers from purchasing products with less quality and shorter lifespan than described on the product label ! Instead, use real green products with high quality and long lifespan to truly achieve the mission of environmental protection, energy-saving, and loving the earth!
The figure above is the report data of the ten ALT A55 bulbs sent to the laboratory authorized by “Energy Star” for testing, proving that the ALT A55 bulbs not only meet LED physical characteristics, their average luminous decay is even zero.
